French Onion Soup

4-5 medium Spanish onions
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp flour

Slice onions, saute in butter, add flour.

Add the remaining ingredients:

2 tbsp brown sugar
5 - 10 oz cans consomme
1 - 10 oz can beef broth
1 crushed garlic clove

Top with toasted French bread slices loaded with mozzarella. Place in oven proof bowls under broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
